When Jacob wanted to find a wife, where do you think he went? The well, of course. From the number of Biblical figures who found spouses there, it sounds like it was the singles’ scene of the day.

When Jacob gets to the well, there’s this huge rock on top of it. The shepherds had to wait until everyone came, and then all together they would roll it off, water the flocks, and manage to get it back on top of the well.

Jacob is waiting around with the gathering shepherds, when they inform him that Rachel, his cousin, is approaching the well. As soon as he sees her, Jacob is so struck that he steps forward and rolls the huge rock off the well – all by himself!

We’ve all heard stories of ordinary people who managed to lift cars or boulders when people were trapped underneath. Extraordinary emotions and situations can enable ordinary people to do extraordinary things.

As you go through life, remember not to underestimate yourself. You have hidden strengths within you that you can tap into.
